Traci Kaas has worked in the settlement planning business for over a decade, during which time she has submitted hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of structured settlement premium on behalf of injured clients. She has worked with hundreds of law firms nationwide and is proud to be one of the most successful women in the legal financial services industry. Most recently, she authored the book What You Can Expect When Expecting a Settlement.”
As a Certified Structured Settlement Consultant (CSSC), Traci helps her clients settle cases ranging from medical malpractice and product liability to minors’ cases, workers' compensation, and mass torts. She also assists with non-personal injury settlements, including those that involve employment, divorce, defamation, and business/property sales, among others. Traci wants to help clients make the most of their money, and ultimately, the most of their lives.
With extensive, ongoing training provided by the Sudden Money® Institute, Traci earned the title of Certified Financial Transitionist®, which complements her CSSC designation and helps her best serve clients on both a technical and a personal level. Traci approaches each case with the goal of guiding clients through financial transition by offering thoughtful, customized solutions to best suit their financial and personal goals.
Traci earned her NSSTA Certified Structured Settlement Consultant certification in conjunction with the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business (2008). She holds Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65/FINRA Securities Licenses, life and health insurance licenses multiple states, and the designation of Certified Medicare Secondary Payer Professional (CMSP).
Traci maintains memberships in and affiliations with various organizations, including the Sudden Money® Institute, Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, Orange County Women Lawyers Association, Orange County Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, Consumer Attorneys of California, Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities, and the California Applicant Attorneys Association. She is frequently called upon to guest speak at industry events and to lend her expertise to various industry publications.
Traci donates to causes benefitting children and healthcare issues and to Canine Companions for Independence. She is an active member of her church and lets a favorite quote from Proverbs guide her business approach: "Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed."
