About
John has broad experience in settlement planning for plaintiffs, plaintiff attorneys, and their families. He specializes in personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, product liability, and employment cases. He also works with Lien Resolution, Medicare Set-Asides, and Special Needs Trusts. His memberships include the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles (CAALA), and National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).
John's practice focuses on a needs-based financial planning approach. He has long been recognized for his ability to listen to the goals and dreams of his clients. Then, he incorporates their objectives into a workable plan which is consistent with protecting the client's financial future.
John's background includes many years in sales and sales management in the insurance and financial services industry. He holds the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow designation. He has worked in most of the United States but now has a concentration in California and Nevada. John has spoken and written articles about structured settlement planning for a number of professional groups.
John's settlement planning practice today is a family affair. His wife, Marcile, manages the office. His daughter Audrey and son David each have their own successful settlement planning practices with Sage Settlement Consulting.
John has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Abilene Christian University and did graduate studies at Texas Tech University. He worked in Washington, D. C. as a Congressional Assistant and later served on the staff of a state governor before entering the financial/settlement planning industry.
John's greatest joy, in addition to working with his clients, is his family. John and Marcile have four grandchildren, Ashley, Brooke, Hannah, and Caleb.
