DANIEL D. HOROWITZ, III, J.D.
About
Daniel joined Sage Settlement Consulting after more than 20 years as a personal injury trial lawyer. Throughout his legal career, Daniel personally tried over 30 jury trials to verdict and helped thousands of clients secure settlements. During that time, he witnessed the highs and lows of how settlement money can impact clients and their families. By transitioning to his current role as a settlement consultant, Daniel can work more closely with injured clients to protect them from running out of money without the ability to go back to work.
In his experience as a trial lawyer, Daniel worked closely with settlement professionals on lien resolution, structured settlement annuities, special needs trusts, pooled minor settlement trusts, government benefits, and insurance needs. In addition to representing his own clients, Daniel has served as Guardian Ad Litem on behalf of minor plaintiffs in both State and Federal Courts. He has also served as a Special Master assigned to oversee global settlements involving hundreds of plaintiffs.
Daniel remains active in many legal organizations, including the American Board of Trial Advocates (member), the Houston Trial Lawyers Association (member and past president), the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors (former member), and several local, state, and national trial lawyer associations. Daniel is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is licensed to practice law in Texas, New Mexico, the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, and all Federal Districts in Texas.
Daniel earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from South Texas College of Law-Houston and his B.B.A. in Management from the University of Texas at Austin. He resides in Houston, Texas, with his wife and two children. Outside of the office, Daniel enjoys hunting, golfing, and traveling with his family.
